# Resources

Resources are Represented as ERC-1155 tokens, they are essential for driving player progression and strategic gameplay.

There are 3 main categories of Resources:

**Materials**&#x20;

**Components**

**Essences**

These resources are used for crafting weapons, armor, and equipment, as well as minting and upgrading various NFTs. Their specific usage depends on the type and tier of NFT being unlocked or enhanced, with essences required for rare and premium features.

## Key Utilities of Resources:

**Crafting and Upgrades:** Build and improve characters, weapons, and armor to enhance gathering rates and combat abilities.

**Unlocking NFTs:** Combine resources with $VALOR and $HONOR to mint high-tier NFTs.

**Land Development:** Upgrade facilities and increase productivity on player-owned lands.

**Trading:** Exchange resources within the ecosystem using $HONOR or other NFTs.

## *Earning Resources:*

**Battles:** Earn resources in both regular and hardcore gameplay and daily/weekly quests.

**Staking:** Generate resources through staking Samurai NFTs, influenced by their attributes and enhancements.

**Lootboxes:** Acquire randomized resources by purchasing lootboxes with $VALOR.

**Trading:** Obtain resources via trades and exchanges within the ecosystem.

### Strategic Role in the Economy:

Resources integrate $VALOR and $HONOR, fostering a balanced and engaging economy where crafting, upgrades, and land development drive continuous progression and reward strategic decisions, while allowing players to trade resources and earn.
